Itinerary

Delegates of Serene Treks will receive you at the International Airport in Kathmandu and transfer you to the Hotel in either Thamel or agreed lodging. The agency will organize he supper or welcome dinner according to the time of arrival. All trip details will be discussed and formalities are covered over the dinner/supper. Overnight at Kathmandu

On this day we will get to know the various UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE sites of the valley. If time permits we will cover at least 5 sites including those of Lalitpur as well. However, the standard plan is to know the city and prepare well for our trek tomorrow. We will visit Swyambhunath temple which is located next to Thamel and is in walkable distance. The view of Kathmandu valley is astounding from the top of the temple. Moreover, the temple showcases the great religious tolerance among Nepalese people as it is worshipped by both Hindus and Buddhists. We will then head to Bouddhanath temple and Pashupatinath Temple. These two places are sacred Buddhists and Hindus temples. We will finish our sightseeing tour in Basantapur Durbar Square. After visiting the site we will walk on the Thamel Street preparing our gears for tomorrow's trek.

We take an early morning flight to Lukla which is the place all Everest treks start. We meet whatever is left of our group in Lukla and begin trekking from that point. We stroll on a trail that slowly dives to Cheplung town from where we get a look at Mt. Khumbila, a hallowed mountain which has never been climbed. From here, we slowly slip until Phakding. Our trail goes through a pine woodland and we proceed with our stroll on the trail that goes north up the Benkar valley.
